Honda Civic Hybrid

Looking for a relief from high gas prices but still want the same comfort and reliability as your good 'ol reliable Civic? Feeling like the new Insight lacks in features or is just not roomy enough? Is the Prius a bit too quirky looking for your tastes? You are not alone. Enter the sleek, stylish, and completely redesigned 2012 Honda Civic Hybrid. Offering fuel economy ratings of 44 mpg city/44 mpg highway/44 mpg combined for 2012 (a noteworthy improvement over the 2011 edition's ratings of 40 mpg city/43 mpg highway/42 mpg combined) the Honda Civic Hybrid is second only to the Prius in fuel economy. Sporting a larger 1.5 liter, 110 horsepower, 4 cylinder engine for 2012 (compared to its predecessor's 1.3 liter engine), a more powerful 23 hp electric motor, and a high-tech Lithium-Ion battery pack, the new Honda Civic Hybrid comes fully loaded with features such as continuously variable transmission (CVT), regenerative braking, start/stop system, steering wheel-mounted controls, automatic climate control, power windows, mirrors and door locks. You also have the option for heated/leather seating and a Satellite Linked Navigation System with Bluetooth connectivity. New for 2012, is Honda’s i-MID display screen which can be used to control everything from audio to Bluetooth and screens to monitor driving efficiency. If you are seriously thinking about buying a hybrid car with superior gas mileage that also offers all the benefits of a conventional sedan, you'll want to check out the Honda Civic Hybrid.

The Civic Hybrid is a low-emission vehicle with a Tier 2 Bin 2 rating that delivers maximum fuel efficiency using a compact 1.5-litre, i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine with the added boost of the self-sufficient Integrated Motor Assist IMA® system. As Honda puts it, doing your part to save the planet has never been easier or more exhilarating!

If we've managed to spark your interest in hybrid cars and you are seriously thinking about getting one, you may also want to have a look at the Ford Fusion Hybrid and the legendary Toyota Prius to see how they compare to the Honda Civic Hybrid. If, on the other hand, you are looking for a larger, fuel efficient, family-sized vehicle, we also recommend you consider the completely redesigned 2011 Toyota Sienna and the compact SUV crossover Toyota RAV4. There is already a hybrid version for the Toyota Estima, the Japanese version of the Sienna and it is likely that the Sienna Hybrid (when it comes out) will be the first hybrid minivan for the North American market.
